Los Abrigados Resort and Spa at Sedona Arizona

I acquire points with Diamond Resorts International and mature them for two weeks at their Sedona Ridge Golf Resort. I then bought a week through Interval International at Los Abrigados for a three week pause in Sedona. Although this review is about Los Abrigados it is difficult to not compare it with the Sedona Ridge.
When I arrived in Sedona I was under the impression that Los Abrigados was an ILX Premier Resort. My sister and I had stayed there about four years ago and had had a stout time. Now, four years later I found that Los Abrigados had deteriorated… and was now in the process of being bought by Diamond Resorts, the owner of Sedona Ridge Golf Resort. I was really contented to hear this news, as the quality of the Diamond Resort properties where I’ve stayed has been superior.
The one bedroom was a quaint unit with a patio that allowed me to inspect at the Red Rocks across the road. I had a broad time watching the colors change on the rocks as the sun went down. The natural changes in nature with the shifting sun spot me in a spot of wonder and enjoyment.
Two of us stayed in the one-bedroom. My friend slept on the coach. (No one wants to sleep in the same bed with me more than once. According to them I kick in my sleep.) I was in the very sad king sized bed. I found out later, that if I settle to approach again next year, that I will most likely have the upgraded bedding obsolete by Diamond Resorts. I had objective experienced two weeks of comfort in that spot at Sedona Ridge, so I can disclose you that will be the most welcome upgrade modern ownership can do.
The bathroom was okay. That’s not mighty to recommend it, is it? There is a serviceable bathtub with shower. The major scrape is that the bathroom is off the bedroom and someone sleeping on the sofa had to go through the bedroom to salvage there. That wasn’t a plight for me, but could be for others.
If you like to fix most of your meals when you go to a resort, know that the minute kitchen consists of two electric burners and no stove. We were dazzling with that, but it could be a quandary if you’d like to cook a roast… which we did do at Sedona Ridge.
The most luscious fragment of our stop at Los Abrigados was the Red Rock Fantasy which is a decorated Christmas presentation. Since we were staying there, we didn’t have to pay the $5.00 admission fee. After our first tour around the property enjoying the lights and music, we would unbiased launch the door occasionally when the sun went down to glance the lights. Often we would hear the squeal of satisfied children.
Another advantage of Los Abrigados is that you can promenade across the parking lot to Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. This is one of my approved places to visit in Sedona. If you indulge in a variety of art and shops of all kinds, in addition to some places to eat, you’ll indulge in it, also.
I’m looking forward to seeing what Diamond Resorts does with Los Abrigados.
